Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 June 2026

These Terms govern your use of AltarPray, operated by Leo Laut, AltarPray, Bleicherweg 10, 8002 Zürich, Switzerland. Contact: vow@altarpray.com.

1. The service

AltarPray provides an immediate private digital reflection experience. You can write a short thought, memory, hope, or intention and release it visually into an animated water scene. The service is non-denominational and open to people of every belief or none.

2. No promised outcome

AltarPray does not promise spiritual, medical, psychological, financial, emotional, legal, or practical results. The service is not therapy, crisis support, professional advice, or a substitute for qualified assistance.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old. If local law requires parental permission for a payment, you confirm that you have obtained it.

4. Payment and immediate performance

The selected amount is the price for the digital experience and is charged securely through Stripe. Before checkout, you expressly request immediate performance. Where applicable by law, your right of withdrawal may expire once the digital service has been fully provided. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

5. Refunds

Payments are generally final once the digital experience has been provided. Exceptions may apply where required by law or in cases of duplicate payment, unauthorized payment, technical failure, or non-delivery. See our Refund Policy.

6. Privacy of your words

Your written reflection is validated temporarily to start checkout but is not stored, sent to Stripe, placed in payment metadata, used for advertising, or published. See our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to disrupt, exploit, scrape, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.

8. Availability and liability

The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, liability for indirect or consequential damage is excluded. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded, including intentional misconduct or mandatory consumer protection.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Mandatory consumer protections and mandatory jurisdiction rules in your country of residence remain unaffected.
